Presearch Launches Base-Native Web3 Search Engine With Full Self-Custody

Presearch has completed its transition from Web2 to Web3 with the launch of its decentralized search engine, Presearch 3.0. The platform operates entirely on decentralized infrastructure, ensuring users retain full custody of their digital assets during search and staking activities. Real-time, gas-efficient transactions support millions of searches, while self-custodial PRE token rewards incentivize participation.

The network relies on over 40,000 community-operated nodes to process queries, anonymize requests, and deliver results. These nodes are compensated based on performance and stake. A new feature, Frontier Intelligence, surfaces human-generated content often marginalized by mainstream engines—independent journalism, Substack posts, and underreported topics—providing an alternative to AI-dominated feeds.

Presearch 3.0 integrates three staking mechanisms: node staking, keyword ad staking, and search staking. Advertisers bid for placement via an auction model akin to Google Adwords, but stake tokens instead of direct payments. The overhaul targets critical gaps in decentralized search, combining user autonomy with scalable infrastructure.
